So you are engaged! Congratulations! You are probably reading this because you are wondering if you should book an engagement session or maybe you are not sure what it is.
I offer an engagement session in most of my wedding collections and there is a good reason why.

Here they are:

1. Get to know your photographer
   This might be a bit cheesy, but it is true…
   You will be spending a big part of your wedding day around your photographer so it is very important that you get along. So it is a great idea to meet your photographer
   before your wedding day. You will feel much more relaxed, see how the photographer works and have a much better idea on what to expect on the day.
2. Make use of your photos
   Not only will you have some beautiful images to admire, but you can also put your images to use by using them creatively for your wedding. Here are a few ideas- save the date, wedding invitation, guestbook or,
   get your favourite image(s) framed and decorate your home!
   
3. It’s fun
   Most people feel a bit uncomfortable in front of a camera so this will be good practice run for your wedding day and you will see the process of having your photos taken.
   You will see it’s a lot more fun than you would expect and you will feel more at ease on your wedding day as you would know better what to expect.
   And also, you get to bond with you partner, which is great!
4. Get creative
   You can express your creativity by choosing a location which is special to you. Maybe you got engaged at a special spot? Another idea, if you would like to make it more casual, is a lifestyle session which is in your home doing whatever you enjoy, be it drinking coffee or reading a book on the couch. Anything that reflects your personalities!
5. Be yourself and be a bit bold!
   Wear those heels and that pretty new dress you did not get to wear yet. This is also the perfect time to get your hair & makeup professionally done, so try to book your trial on the day of your engagement session and you will get an idea how your hair & makeup will look.
